A Year of Success for Our Preschool Taekwon-Do Stars

This year has been nothing short of incredible for our preschool Taekwon-Do program. Yesterday, our youngest students, aged just 4 to 6 years old, took part in a fun competition that highlighted their growth, skills, and determination. The event was a joyful celebration, and every child left with a medal, recognizing their efforts in performing right and left side Saju Jirugi using only their legs.

The energy was contagious as the kids participated in the much-loved “lights game,” showcasing their agility and quick reflexes. The day concluded with the ever-popular “Taekwon Freeze,” a game designed by Ben Evans, which has become a favorite not only among the preschoolers but also among older members. This game continues to bring laughter and joy to everyone, making it a staple in our training sessions across all age groups.

Reflecting on the year, we are incredibly proud of the progress our preschoolers have made. With a 95% retention rate of students who joined one to two years ago, it’s clear that the program is thriving. The strong support from parents has played a pivotal role in this success, and we are deeply grateful for their encouragement and dedication to NZ ITF Taekwon-Do.

This remarkable year of achievement is a testament to the love and enthusiasm for Taekwon-Do shared by our youngest members and their families. As we approach the final session of the year on December 14th, we look back with pride and forward with excitement for what’s to come. The future of preschool Taekwon-Do is bright, and we can’t wait to see these young stars continue to shine!
