NZ ITF Taekwon-Do Centre had the honor of hosting several distinguished guests

Last Thursday, the NZ ITF Taekwon-Do Centre had the honor of hosting several distinguished guests, including Catherine Wedd (MP for Tukituki), Emma and Lucinda from the Hastings Business Association, Kelly Sims from Sport Hawkes Bay, and Blanche Pawae-Ashcroft and Caitlin McIvor. They visited to witness the incredible work being done at the Inclusive Fitness gym and to see a demonstration by our Inclusive Taekwon-Do team, joined by mainstream members.

The visit was a resounding success, showcasing the power of Taekwon-Do to bring people of all abilities together. The audience had the rare opportunity to see the Original ITF Taekwon-Do in action, and the energy was contagious. In a particularly proud moment for our centre, two students with disabilities were awarded their Black Belts following the demonstration—a testament to their hard work and dedication.

All athletes who participated in the demonstration received gold medals from our VIP guests, who expressed their admiration for the team’s spirit, skill, and determination. The visit was a celebration of the inclusivity and excellence that defines our Taekwon-Do centre, and we are incredibly proud of all involved.
